I was the lead organizer of the roll-out of a 1:1 Chromebook initiative at Holliston High School. My role was the planning and execution of:
- Selecting and receiving 500 Chromebooks
- Prepping them for enrollment in our Google Apps domain
- Tagging and inventorying them in our Atriuum library database
- Deploying them to students
- Leading the student tech team in troubleshooting and on-site repair
In addition, I worked closely with my principal to plan communications, procedures, policies, expectations, insurance details, and annual re-collection.
Before the 1:1 Chromebook program, I was the primary trainer and PD source for the district’s BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program. This program served as an intermediary step that both brought digital resources into student hands as well as helping faculty re-think their instructional models and methods. Our strong BYOD program contributed significantly to successful integration of Chromebooks years later.
